QUIZ YOUR SLOP

Frequently asked questions

What is Quiz your slop?

An RPG-style quiz game where you learn how your own project works. Your coding AI becomes the Master: it reads the repository, builds a map and writes Challenges about the code, always with Evidence.

▶ How it works

Does my code go to your server?

No. The Game runs on your machine and the server only receives progress: account, XP, Title, stats and, per Adventure, a meaningless id, the revealed percentage and the Class. The code is read by your AI and goes to its provider, just like in your normal use.

Which AI do I need?

Claude Code or Codex CLI, with your own account. The Game does not provide an AI: it calls the CLI you already have, in read-only mode.

I don't have Claude Code or Codex. What now?

You can play the Slop Tavern Tutorial, which needs no AI, and join the waitlist telling us which AI you use (Gemini CLI, Cursor, Copilot or another). The list decides which adapter comes next.

Can the Master change my code?

No. The Game enforces read-only mode: Claude Code runs with only Read, Grep and Glob, and Codex with --sandbox read-only. No edits, no shell and no network. The exact command is shown on screen before it starts.

What if the AI gets the answer key wrong?

Dispute it. Every answer key comes with Evidence and can be disputed: the Master re-checks the code and, if it admits the mistake, the Challenge is voided and you earn the Slop Hunter bonus.

Why do I need an account, even for the Tutorial?

The account keeps your progress between the site and the desktop Game. Sign-in is GitHub only and asks only for identity and email — no access to your repositories.

Which systems does the Game run on?

The desktop Game is for Windows and Linux (AppImage and .deb). The Tutorial runs in the browser. macOS comes after the MVP.

Does it work with more than one repository?

Yes. A Project can bring together several local git repositories — the front end and the API, for example — into a single map, and Links can cross from one to the other.

What is the Slop Tavern?

The Tutorial's Project: a made-to-measure RPG tavern ordering app in TypeScript (React, a Node API, SQL and a queue worker), with slop planted on purpose for you to find.

How much does it cost?

Nothing. The Game is free and open source. The only thing you pay for is your own AI, as you already do today.

Which languages?

Portuguese, English and Spanish, on the site, in the Tutorial and in the Game. The Tutorial's Challenges come in all three; in the Game, the Master writes the Challenges in the Player's language.
